O Sole Mio!

"Che bella cosa la giornata a sole..." Art students searched for their inspirational vista to capture in a landscape lesson this morning before the sun became too hot! So far we have created portfolio pieces of: doorways/gates/windows botanical/floral/trees/leaves still life-Cafe table top scene and today's portfolio piece was on landscapes! Students are working hard to complete their final term work piece on mixed media and we are aiming to complete our CPT and EXAM portfolio in the next few days! English students have accomplished a large scope of content! They have completed a variety of material such as Shakespeare's "Othello", Pirandello's "Six Characters in Search of an Author", Dante's Cantos, and Hemmingway's "Farewell to Arms." Students are studiously concentrating on their CPT novels, oral presentations as well as their upcoming Exams. "The books studied in this course are really interesting. The Italian authors have a completely different style of writing which makes their works more interesting. I loved both Pirandello's, Six Characters in Search of an Author and Dante's Divine Comedy. they are unforgettable works. written by student, Michael. As this post is being written, I look across our study hall and it resembles a European painting rich in character, texture and colour. In silence, Art and English students have gathered like many writers and artists who came together in the past to share thoughts and ideas in a common place. It is a peaceful scene as the "o sole mio" sun shines through the window..."sotto la finestra...o sole mio sta infronte a te..."
